Getting Random power cuts due to RCD trip, A certain lights / sockets circuit having no power, weird noises coming from D board ... these are just a few issues reported to us by a lot of tenants of hiyaa flats.
Upon inspection we found out that the neutral connectors in the D board were burnt, and the connector has become very hot. Closer inspection reveals that the connector is made from very low quality material which is not able to carry 32 Amps of currrent these D boards are rated for.
The materials in the burnt connectors is unknown. It is clearly not copper / brass or aluminium.
We have replaced the connectors of a lot of hiyaa flats with a higher quality Brass connector that can carry the rated currents, that fits the faulty connector installation neatly.
